A gift

Pregnancy is a gift. Ask any pregnant girl and she will tell you it doesn't always feel like it. This 10 months of nausea, skin problems, swollen feet, growing belly, heartburn, backaches and so on. But it is fleeting, and when looking back, it will seem brief and sentimental.
Through my lens, I want a mother to see, really see how beautiful she is. She has given her body over to care for this child and I believe it is one of the most stunning times in a woman's life.

I have photographed Amber through 2 pregnancies now. Trust me, she does not know how beautiful she really is. Although it is plain to see to everyone else, she, like most women have a hard time seeing it for themselves. When she looked at these images, she saw it! And...my job is done!  I love that!

If you have a friend who is expecting, give them the chance to exist in photographs for their children.

Baby Ryder

Jamy and Amber welcomed this little 9 lb 3 oz miracle 2 weeks before his expected date!
The roundest and healthiest little preemie you've ever seen!

He was also welcomed by his two big brothers!
Carter, the very biggest brother is super smart and thoughtful...
And Tucker, big brother number two is funny and sweet...

These three are going to make Jamy and Amber's house noisy, messy and full of love!

What a beautiful momma they have!

The love and tenderness Amber has with Ryder is so apparent that I hardly had to direct these shots. She was so natural.

Welcome to the world, Mr Aziah! His momma, Brittany was stunning when she was pregnant with him. Her session was amazing and the tender care with which Jamal helped her navigate rocks and rugged terrain during our session together told me he would be a great daddy. Now that this little mister is here, I can see he got the perfect combination of looks from his parents! Look at that hair! The BEST hair I have ever see on a newbie! It layed perfectly like it had been trimmed in a man's haircut! He took a little while to settle in, but once he did, he was snoozing hard! What a doll! As soon as I posted his preview, I had two inquiries about using his images in advertising. One is for an Etsy store from which I purchased the blue hat, (https://www.etsy.com/listing/178281309/digital-patternbaby-beanie-patternbaby?ref=shop_home_feat_2  ) the store is named Knitsycrochet and the other inquiry from a sleep specialist who is like the baby whisperer! Her website is www.sleepingsweetpeas.com . So, he is pretty much a celebrity at 2 weeks old!
